About The Department
The Department of Biotechnology was first opened as a vocational subject in the year 1997 under the super vision of distinguished faculty of the departments of Zoology, Botany and Physics. It was reestablished as regular subject under Dibrugarh University in the year 2008. One regular teacher and two visiting teachers, one from Zoology and other ones from Physics department are engaged for the classes. Now B.Sc Ist year and B.Sc. 2 nd year classes are being conducted as regular programmes. The vocational course of Bio Tech ended in the year 2008.
